MENK'

In Armenian, MENK’ (ՄԵՆՔ) means "we". MENK’ are Xabier Iriondo and Franz Valente.

These two artists collaborate together, grow, and above all, create. It has happened again, and this time, a new project has been born.

The duo has shared friendship and musical projects for many years, and they have brought to life these eight tracks to break down the existing barriers between sludge/doom music and electroacoustic avant-garde.

Cymbals, harmonium, string instruments, electronics, metallic percussion, snare drum, and electric guitar blend together in a kaleidoscope of tones and colors, silences and noises, in a succession of dynamic alternations that make this music timeless.

All the tracks that make up the work were recorded inside the Armenian church of Villa Albrizzi (TV) on March 12, 2023.
