Light/Fire/Lemons is a synesthesia connecting meanings that come from two different sensory spheres. Through the overlap of elements that are apparently contrary to each other, I wanted to create a sonic experience summoning auditory sensations, but also physical and visual ones.
What is logically opposite and contrary, in art becomes vital and conceptual unity.
I made the sound of Light/Fire/Lemons playing snares in an unconventional way and using even original acoustic materials. Among them, a mechanism built with metal beams, springs and other accessories which produce metallic reverberations and ghostly effects. Light/Fire/Lemons comes from violent deconstructed improvisations where the sound can be amplified and modulated by electronic effects.
Light/Fire/Lemons is the first release of Snare Drum Exorcism, a sonic performance I made in early 2019 and played in various gigs.
